(ACPE) Scholarship Award
The Association of Computer Professionals in Education (ACPE) annually awards scholarships to outstanding students in Washington and Oregon who have demonstrated a high involvement with technology during their high school careers. This year $10,000 has been allocated for scholarships up to $2,500 each to be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are planning to pursue studies in a technology related field. Completed application and support materials are due March 11, 2009. Finalists will be selected and notified prior to the ACPE Conference on May 6-8, 2009. WAVA 2008-2009 Scholarship Award
Scholarship Information:
The Washington Association of Vocational Administrators Scholarship will be awarded to two Washington State candidates, one for each of the following categories:
1. A graduating high school senior who has distinguished him/herself in the field of Career and Technical Education during high school
2. A post-high school student in one of the following Teacher Preparation programs:
a. Third or fourth year student in a Career and Technical Education Teacher Education Program (Baccalaureate Degree)
b. An individual who is pursuing Type II (industry-based) CTE Teacher Certification
A scholarship committee will review entries and select two winners, one from each category – each will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Submit applications to the WAVA Scholarship Chair.

Career, Technical Education Programs are important...
Career and technical education opens the doors to many well-respected occupations for high school students and adults, which create both family-supporting incomes and opportunities for advancement. Beginning with high school programs and extending into degrees offered by postsecondary colleges and universities, technical education requires high levels of academic knowledge and well-honed skills. New Website & Blog
The CHS Technology Program's website is migrating to a new site layout with the intent to provide a more Web 2.0 feel and interface. With information sharing being so important in education and the need to provide a more interactive program site for students and staff... it's was time for change.
Under each section (program area) on the site, you'll find a reference link to a blog that is relevant to that subject area. The main CHS Technology Program Blog, will serve as a place where we can post information relating to upcoming news & events, scholarships, job opportunities, program needs, and much more....
